I already had all the other Express Beta Installed.
Is there a work around for this.
Thanks.
Dee
You will have to make sure that you are running the correct versions of the .net framework 2.0, this is becuse they are all matched and will only run if they are running the same code base.
For example the Express IDEs running Beta2 wil only work with Beta 2 of the SQL Express system, and not any of the CTP releases.
When they are matched it will install correctly, I would check the runtime version that you do have installed.|||Hi Mykre,
How does one check the runtime version of the .NET Framework 2.0 and SQL Server 2005 Express Edition?
If one finds the information, where can he download the correct runtime version?
My problem is similar to a lot of those posted in this forum: I want to install SQL Server 2005 Express Edition but the installation process tells me to uninstall .NET Framework 2.0. When I do, the installation process tells me to install .NET Framework 2.0 first. I do not know how to circumvent the problem.
The .NET Framework 2.0 version was download with the Express Edition Beta 2 of VB .NET 2005, VWD 2005 and/or VCS 2005. It should be the right version (runtime).
In the mean time, I will keep searching for an answer.
Thank you for your time.
P.S.
