I have had success installing "SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services" on
several machines, but I am not able to install on a particular machine now.
The following error is reported in the installation error log but
"IWAM_MACHINEname" exists and is enabled:
-- Error Log Entry --
<Prerequisite Name="AreRSAccountsValidInstalled" Checked="User accounts"
Item="IWAM_machineName" Found="Not exist or not enable" Expected="Exist and
enabled" Result="Fail" />
Machine = ISOVDEVWAC8, Article = RSACCOUNTS, Result = 60357 (0xebc5)
--End of Error Log Entry --
I have run the utilities to synchronize the Metabase and other stores for
this account on this machine.
Help me resolve this please.
Thanks inadvance
- Bob -Are there any other errors in the log file? Perhaps something is failing
when we try to look for the account name. Look for any of the following
errors:
Error calling NetGetDisplayInformationIndex
%s account found disabled

Answer: No.
Here's the entire log in case it helps:

Report Designer component requirement
<B>Explanation:</B> Visual Studio .NET 2003 is not installed.
<B>Action:</B> Install Visual Studio .NET 2003, and then rerun Setup to
install Report Designer. Or, continue Setup to complete the installation
without Report Designer.
Report Server component requirement
<B>Explanation:</B> Internet Information Services 5.0 (IIS) or later is
either not installed, or it is configured in a way that is incompatible with
a Reporting Services installation.
<B>Action:</B> To install the Report Server and Report Manager components,
you must first install Internet Information Services 5.0 (IIS) or later, and
then verify that the Web server configuration requirements are compatible
with Setup. Check the Setup documentation for more information about Web
server configuration requirements.

-- Error Log --|||After further investigation, I am discovering that my deployment goals which
are to deploy reporting services on a web server and point to a separate
machine hosting SQL Server may require a different license then I have. Not
sure if this would cause this error or not, but thought I should add that
tidbit just in case. I am actively pursuing acquiring the appropriate
license now.
Daniel, thanks for the reply earlier.
