installing apache, php5 and mysql 4

I am trying to get mysql 4, php5, and apache to work on my winxp sp2 comp,
unfortunately even though php5 and apache seems to work ok I am unable to
utilise mysql with php and apache, I have yet to see a guide that has a
problem free installation, if there is such a guide or a fix on how to get
php5, apache and mysql all working on winxp sp2, after having moved
libmysql.dll to the c:\php directory as well as the c:\windows\system
directory,. and amended php.ini to show the path to c:\php\ext (although
this version of php didn't automatically create an ext directory) and having
amended pathn the system environments to point to c:\php, as well as
numerous other recommendations, I am stuck as to how to proceed. Any help
will be greatly appreciated."Nospam" <nospam@.home.com> wrote in message

Well, not to be rude, but best help I can give is to take this to another
newsgroup. This is for Microsoft SQL Server specifically, so the amount of
MySQL knowledge here is pretty slim.

Installed, but can't ping 1433

Any and all help is appreciated as project deadline is approaching...

Background:
- Two servers, 1 running WinXP with all updates and 1 running Win2K3 Standard with all updates.
- Both have SQL Express 2005 June CTP installed
- Both have Visual Studio 2005 Express installed.
- Installation finished w/o any errors.
- Services are running (browser and database)
- TCP/IP and named pipes are enabled

Issue:
Can't ping 127.0.0.1:1433.
OSQL times out without being able to establish a connection
Windows Firewall is OFF.

Seems to be a connectivity issue, but I'm a newbie and can't figure out why I can't talk to the database.

As I said, any and all help is appreciated. Thanks to all in advance.

Due to the length of time since this issue was posted, I'm marking it as resolved. If you're still in need of help, please respond here.

desktop edition, or client tools only. You cannot install standard or
enterprise on a desktop OS; only on a server OS.

Installation problem with SQL2000 on WinXP

Hello all!

I'm trying to install: Microsoft SQL Server 2000, Developer Edition

On my Laptop :

Windows XP Professional
Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4, Mobile CPU 1.80Ghz
352 Mb of RAM
40Gb Harddrive

Problem:
When I start the setup(setup.exe) I get the following msg:

Exexution cannot continue as the language dependent resource file c:\Windows\Temp\SqlSetup\Bin\Resources\1033\sqlsui .RLL

When I press ok I get the msg:

LoadLirary failed on sqlsui.dll

I've used the search function but haven't found anyone with the same problem, other than this one :
http://dbforums.com/arch/71/2002/10/521355

But in that case its Win2000 not XP.

If anyone could help I would be very happy

Best Wishes,
Farekhttp://dbforums.com/arch/71/2002/10/532051
