Installing Local SQL2000 Personal Edition
I am trying to install a local version of SQL2000 on my XP Pro.
I am having this problem, do you know why because I cannot find the solution on the microsoft website:
Server: Msg 17, Level 16, State 1
[Microsoft][ODBC SQL Server Driver][DBNETLIB]SQL Server does not exist or access denied. You'd probably do better to post this kind of question in the Micrsoft SQL Server (http://www.dbforums.com/f7/) forum.

Installation password - using NT auth, want to change original password
During the installation of MSSql personal you are asked
whether you would like to use NT auth or SA or mixed mode
for your DBA password.
I am currently using only NT authentication, however my
network password has changed since the installation of
mssql personal.
Is there anyway in MSSql to change the DBA login
password? I can not seem to find it anywhere.
Thanks in advance.
BenderYou don't have to change anything in SQL Server, if you are using Windows
authentication. If you manage to log into Windows, then that's fine, as long
as your Windows account is granted access to SQL Server.

installation error
Hi, I tried to install sql personal edition on my PC (Windows ME) but as soon as it gets to "installation mode" (I mean typical, customize, etc) when I click next it asks me for a password and then on the next click it appears this error message: "_ins5576 on module sqlsui.dll
if anybody knows what it means I'll be thankfull for eternity.
JbWhat are the default locale settings i.e., language?
Try copying Sqlsui.rll from CD to local system drive.
