Installation Error

Hello. I'm trying to install SQL Server but it keeps failing. The following is from the error log. Is this the right forum? Any ideas if it is?

Message pump returning: 2This thread appeared to have the same results and was fixed with the registry suggestion. Can you take a look at this post to see if your box is in the same state?
